Job summary

Ford Credit seeks a Director to lead Cloud & AI Infrastructure Operations, driving reliability, security, and cost efficiency across hybrid cloud environments (GCP, Kubernetes/OpenShift, data centers). The role blends hands-on engineering with strategic leadership to enable secure AI-enabled delivery.

The candidate will partner with security, architecture, and application teams, mentor staff, and shape Ford Credit's cloud strategy, governance, and FinOps practices in a rapidly evolving AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 10+ years in cloud infrastructure/platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Secure cloud architecture design experience (IAM, networking, security controls).
• HA/DR design for hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
• Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure concepts (LLMs, RAG, MCP).
• Familiarity with AI development tools and Google AI services.
• Experience with security scanning tools across SAST, SCA, IaC, DAST, API security.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills.
• Ability to build business cases with cost/benefit metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud and container operations across GCP and on-prem environments.
• Design secure, scalable HA/DR for hybrid cloud estates.
• Drive AI infrastructure innovations and secure AI enablement.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, and application teams.
• Manage cost and value through dashboards and metrics.
• Mentor technical teams and represent strategy in leadership forums.
