Job summary

Ford Credit seeks a Director of Cloud & AI Infrastructure Operations to lead reliability, security and cost efficiency across GCP, Kubernetes/OpenShift and AI platforms. You’ll guide a cross‑functional team, partner with security and architecture, and drive secure, production‑grade AI enablement in a hybrid environment.

The role combines hands‑on technical leadership with strategic collaboration for enterprise tech partners and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in cloud infrastructure/platform engineering with strong GCP hands-on work.
• Experience with container platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Design of secure cloud architectures including IAM and networking.
• Experience building HA/DR across hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure concepts and AI tooling.
• Ability to build business cases and present cost/benefit metrics.
• Leadership and cross-functional collaboration experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for hybrid cloud and container apps on GCP/OpenShift.
• Design secure cloud architectures and enforce security controls.
• Lead HA/DR planning across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Advance AI infrastructure initiatives (LLMs, RAG, MCP, agentic AI).
• Collaborate with security, architecture, and external partners.
• Mentor technical teams and communicate with senior leadership.
