CesiumAstro is expanding its customer-facing Applications Engineering leadership in Austin, Texas. The Director will guide a team responsible for ensuring customers can understand, integrate, operate, and deploy our space-grade communication products across missions.

The role drives Voice of the Customer into product requirements, roadmaps, and documentation, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Business Development to deliver robust deployment tools and reference architectures.

Formación

• 11–15 years of related experience in applications or systems engineering, product engineering, or customer integration.
• 5+ years of leadership or management experience directing technical teams.
• Experience coordinating complex hardware/software integration with direct customer involvement.
• Proven ability translating customer requirements and feedback into product improvements and technical docs.
• Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration between Product, Engineering, BD and program teams.

Responsabilidades

• Build and lead a high-performing customer-facing technical team with deep product knowledge.
• Serve as primary technical interface for customers during integration and deployment.
• Ensure customers have guidance, docs, tools, training, and support for successful operation.
• Capture customer needs and translate into input for Product and Engineering.
• Identify recurring needs and usability gaps to influence product roadmap and investments.
• Maintain deep knowledge of product hardware, software, interfaces, and performance through labs and collaboration.
• Develop reference architectures, configurations, and tools to simplify deployments.
• Oversee customer support through integration, test, commissioning, and operation.
