Job summary

Intuitive Surgical is seeking a Director, Workday Solutions to lead the product strategy, roadmap execution, and AI-enabled initiatives across Workday HR technologies. The role collaborates with HR executives, COEs, and IT leadership to deliver scalable, consumer-grade experiences.

The leader will embed AI and automation within Workday, driving measurable outcomes in employee and manager experiences while ensuring governance, privacy, and security standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of HR technology project implementation experience with proven results in creating technical strategies, developing business requirements, deploying applicable technologies, and business process re-engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years developing and coaching technical or operational teams.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in technology, business, or a related technical field.
• Deep expertise in Workday, including Core HCM, Total Rewards, Talent Management, Time and Absence, and Reporting capabilities.
• Experience embedding AI and automation capabilities natively within Workday to improve employee experience, manager experience, and business operations.
• Experience with a global/international company with employee populations across multiple regions.
• Strong customer orientation and superb communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with technical, functional, and executive audiences; strong personal and technical influencing skills.
• Strong collaborator who can engage and influence partners across the company; interacts frequently with internal and external senior-level leadership.
• Process orientation and technical project management skills; experience with multiple project methodologies, including Agile/iterative development, a plus.
• Familiarity with US and global data privacy laws, GDPR, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, roadmap, and strategic direction for core Workday HR technologies, including Core HCM, Total Rewards, Talent Management, Time and Absence Management, Operational Reporting.
• Collaborate on a long-term technology strategy in sync with Intuitive’s business growth goals and people priorities; provide input on the HR technology roadmap.
• Translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions that improve employee, manager, and business outcomes.
• Lead the evolution of employee and manager self-service capabilities through automation, AI-powered insights, and guided workflows within Workday.
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled solutions that improve service effectiveness, increase self-service resolution, and reduce manual effort for both employees and managers.
• Partner with internal employee support and project management teams on process documentation, communication, and training.
