Job summary

Home Life, Inc. in Corvallis, Oregon is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the Sun-Thu 2:30p-10:30p shift. You will assist individuals with daily living activities to promote independence and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass an initial criminal history check and recheck every 2 years
• US citizenship or legal right to work in the US
• Must be at least 18 years old with driving license, insurance, and good driving record
• Ability to complete required training and annual refreshers
• Ability to maintain regular attendance and perform duties with/without accommodation

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Assistant Program or Program Manager; adhere to all policies, rules, and procedures of Home Life and Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR)
• Ensure working hours are accurately documented
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard individual information
• Work as a team with other staff to provide quality services
• Coordinate information with families, vocational programs, and other stakeholders per House Manager guidance
• Maintain household supplies/equipment and assist with yard maintenance as assigned
• Attend staff meetings and required training
• Communicate pertinent information to staff, individuals, and the community in a timely, professional manner
• Navigate escalated situations or emergencies safely
• Maintain healthy boundaries among coworkers and supported individuals
• Accept additional responsibilities as assigned by management
• Follow ISP, PBSP, and HCBS rights for supported individuals
• Document data for ISP/PBSP and assist with individual plans
