Job summary

Home Life, Inc. in Corvallis, Oregon, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for sun-Tues 6:30a-2:30p to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live independently and engage with their community.

The DSP will assist with daily living, maintain confidentiality, document activities, and collaborate with the House Manager and team to ensure safety, quality of life, and adherence to ISP and PBSP.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass an initial criminal history check and recheck every 2 years.
• Be a citizen of the United States or legally able to work in the United States.
• Must be at least eighteen with a valid driver license, insurance and good driving record.
• Ability to complete required training and annual training thereafter.
• Maintain regular attendance as an essential function of the role.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the House Manager and adhere to Home Life policies and Oregon rules.
• Document working hours accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Work as a team with staff to provide quality services to supported individuals.
• Communicate pertinent information timely to staff and supervisors.
• Navigate escalated situations or emergencies while keeping everyone safe.
• Set healthy boundaries among coworkers and supported individuals.
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
