Job summary

Home Life, Inc. in Corvallis, Oregon, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a supportive community setting. The DSP helps residents increase independence and community engagement while following ISP guidelines and agency policies.

Shifts are Sunday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a guaranteed 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass an initial criminal history check and recheck every 2 years.
• Be a citizen of the United States or legally able to work in the United States.
• Must be at least eighteen years old and hold a current driving license, insurance, and a good driving record (unless in a non-driving position).
• Ability to complete required training and annual training thereafter.
• Maintaining regular attendance and performing tasks with or without reasonable accommodation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals assist individuals to enjoy active, productive, and empowered lives by providing support to increase or maintain skills for independent living.
• Report directly to the Program Manager and adhere to all applicable policies and procedures.
• Complete core competency training and 24 hours of in-service annually.
• Read pertinent Therap and other documentation each shift and communicate with staff appropriately.
