Job summary

Premier Community Supports, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide high-quality, person-centered care to individuals with IDD in home and community settings in Corvallis, Oregon. You will support daily living, independence, and community engagement per ISP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Preferred: 6 months experience with IDD or 1 year caregiving.
• Pass criminal background check.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Smartphone access for documentation and timekeeping.
• Willingness to complete CPR & First Aid training (training provided).
• Willingness to complete 24 hours of annual training.
• Comfort around animals (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Build a supportive, person-centered relationship with the individual and deliver care aligned with ISP.
• Promote autonomy and choice in daily life.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, and household tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with the individual, family and support team for outcomes.
• Facilitate community participation per individual’s preferences.
• Assist with budgeting, shopping and meal preparation as needed.
• With training, administer medications or support medication protocols.
• Identify and report health or behavioral changes and maintain required documentation.
• Provide transportation in a personal vehicle if required.
• Adapt to schedule variations (day/evening/night shifts; weekends).
