Job summary

Home Life, Inc. in Corvallis, Oregon is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide daytime-to-evening support Wed through Sat, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The role focuses on assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independently and participate in community life. The DSP will report to the Program Manager within Residential Services, and will be involved in daily living activities, communication, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pass an initial criminal history check and recheck every 2 years.
• Be a U.S. citizen or legally able to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver license, insurance, and good driving record.
• High school graduate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities to increase independence.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard personal information.
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings; communicate in a timely, professional manner.
• Ensure household supplies/equipment are available and in good condition; assist with routine yard work.
• Coordinate with team and supervisor to provide quality support and documentation.
