Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Whiteville, NC to provide direct care, skill-building support, and daily living assistance to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. You will document progress in the electronic health record, support community integration, transport individuals when needed, and uphold rights and confidentiality under HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license in good standing.
• Reliable transportation.
• Background checks and health screening (TB).

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with goal completion per support plan.
• Provide ADL assistance such as bathing, grooming, feeding.
• Safely transport individuals in company or personal vehicles.
• Accompany individuals to community integration activities.
• Complete required documentation in the EHR.
• Actively engage individuals in home and community.
• Uphold individual rights and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Respond to abuse/neglect reports per policy.
• Administer prescribed medications after training.
• Remain alert during shifts and perform physical tasks as needed.
