Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate care to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and mental health needs in Greensboro, NC. You will support daily living, skill-building, and community participation under individualized plans.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, medication administration after training, timely documentation in EHR, and safeguarding patient rights while upholding privacy and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must successfully complete all background checks.
• TB health screening required per state/programing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the individuals with goal completion as documented in the individualized support plan.
• Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs); bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, meal prep as needed.
• Safely transport Individuals in company or personally owned vehicles.
• Accompany the Individuals on community integration activities.
• Complete all required documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) timely.
• Actively engage with Individuals in their home and community.
• Uphold, respect, and advocate for Individual rights at all times.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of information.
• Adhere to company policies and core values to foster a professional environment.
• Establish and uphold appropriate professional boundaries; maintain ethics and objectivity.
• DSPs are mandated reporters and must report abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
• Administer prescribed medication(s) upon completion of training.
• Must be proficient with technology.
• Must remain awake and alert for the duration of shifts.
• Must perform physical duties (lifting, transfers).
• Other duties as assigned.
