Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities live meaningful lives. DSPs provide direct care, support goal achievement, document care, and promote dignity and independence within home and community settings.

Qualified candidates will assist with activities of daily living, transportation, medication administration after training, and maintain HIPAA-compliant records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must successfully complete all background checks.
• Must successfully complete health screening (TB).

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with goal completion as documented in their support plan.
• Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) based on needs.
• Safely transport individuals in company or personal vehicles.
• Accompany individuals to community integration activities.
• Complete all required documentation in the EHR timely.
• Engage with individuals in home and community setting.
• Uphold rights and advocate for individuals at all times.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of information.
• Adhere to company policies and core values.
• Maintain professional boundaries in interactions.
• DSPs are mandated reporters and report suspected abuse or neglect.
• Administer prescribed medications after completing training.
• Must be proficient with technology.
• Must remain awake and alert for shifts.
• Must perform physical tasks (lifting, transfers).
• Other duties as assigned.
