Job summary

Devereux New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our Hillsborough team on 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will work with a dedicated, multidisciplinary team to help individuals in our day program stay safe and healthy.

Starting pay is $20.42 per hour with increases based on education and experience. We offer strong benefits, tuition assistance, and growth opportunities within a supportive, servant-leadership culture.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid non-provisional driver's license.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Be able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Be empathetic and have a team approach to care for our individuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure our individuals are safe and healthy while attending day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in achieving daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Supervise planning, implementation, and documentation of programs to meet social, emotional, physical and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for individuals to be involved.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from day program.
