Job summary

Devereux New Jersey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to work with individuals in our day program. You will be part of a dedicated team helping clients develop daily living skills, manage routines, and participate in community activities.

This role emphasizes safety, empathy, and collaborative care within a multidisciplinary environment. Starting at $20.42 per hour, compensation increases with education and experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid non-provisional driver's license.
• 18 years or older required.
• Attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Empathetic with a team approach to care for individuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and health of individuals in day programs.
• Supervise, coach, and assist with daily living skills such as food prep, cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
• Plan, implement, and document programs addressing social, emotional, physical and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from day program.
