Job summary

Devereux New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with individuals in need within a supportive, multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes safety, daily living support, and community-based activities, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm.

Starting at $20.42 per hour, pay increases with education and experience. Benefits begin on day one, and the position supports growth through training and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid non-provisional driver's license required.
• Be 18 years of age or older and able to attend paid orientation.
• Empathetic with a team approach to care for individuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy during day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals with daily living skills (e.g., cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Plan, implement, and document programs to meet social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from day program.
