Job summary

Devereux is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Deptford, NJ to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on supporting individuals in daily living skills, meal prep, and community activities while ensuring safety and well-being.

Starting pay is $20.42 per hour, with increases based on education and experience. The position emphasizes servant leadership, collaboration, and a supportive work environment with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid non-provisional driver’s license is required.
• 18 years of age or older (required).
• Be able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Be empathetic and have a team approach to care for our individuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure our individuals are safe and healthy while attending the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Supervise planning, implementation, and documentation of programs meeting social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program.
