Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Somerset, NJ. The DSP helps individuals with daily living skills, supervises activities, and supports program goals. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8am–4pm, with benefits starting after 30 days and paid orientation.

Qualifications

• Be empathetic and have a team approach to care for our individuals.
• Be 18 years of age or older (required).
• Have a valid non-provisional driver's license.
• Be able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure our individuals are safe and healthy while attending our day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist our individuals in daily living skills (e.g., food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Supervise planning, implementation, and documentation of programs meeting social, emotional, physical and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from day program.
