Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join a dedicated team serving individuals in a day program. You will help with daily living skills, safety, and community-based activities while providing compassionate support.

The role emphasizes teamwork and a person-centered approach. The position offers on-site shifts with competitive pay starting at $20.42 per hour, plus growth opportunities, benefits after the onboarding period, and tuition

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid non-provisional driver's license.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Be able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Empathetic and have a team approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Keep individuals safe and healthy while attending the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals with daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Oversee planning, implementation and documentation of programs meeting social, emotional, physical and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for engagement.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program.
