Job summary

Bridgewell is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide daily living support to individuals with developmental, physical, and psychiatric disabilities in our residential programs.

This part-time role (12 hours weekly, Sunday and Saturday 9:00am-3:00pm) involves skill-building, supervision, and community integration, with compliance to DDS, DMH, and other regulatory standards. Training and certifications are provided by the agency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 5+ years of verified experience in the same position.
• At least 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel and web-based applications used by the agency.
• Valid US driver's license with at least one year of driving experience; ability to drive a large van.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist people in our services with skills training in all activities of daily living.
• Create opportunities to develop independence and decision-making.
• Provide services according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF and related standards.
• Administer medications according to MAP regulations, as applicable.
• Transport and accompany people to activities outside the program.
• Maintain daily progress notes, shift checklists, and required documentation.
• Complete household cleaning duties as assigned.
• Conduct steady care calls for awake overnight shifts.
• Assist people with accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community.
• Maintain mandatory training certifications (FA/CPR, PABC, MAP).
• Attend program staff meetings and supervision meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
