Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Fluent in English for client communication.
• New York State Driver’s License with at least 2 years of driving experience required for driving positions.
• Comfort operating a large vehicle for driving positions.
• Experience supporting adults with IDD or behavioral health needs preferred.
• Patience, compassion, and dedication to empowering others.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals you support.
• Assist with daily living tasks and build community connections.
• Personal Care & Daily Living Support: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Health & Wellness: administer medications and assist with medical appointments.
• Mobility & Accessibility: assist with walking, transfers, and mobility aids.
• Behavioral & Emotional Support: implement strategies and provide reassurance.
• Community & Social Engagement: plan activities and encourage community involvement.
• Communication & Advocacy: assist with communication and advocate for needs.
• Collaboration & Documentation: coordinate with healthcare providers and maintain records.
