Job summary

WellLife Network in New York is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will help with daily living, build community connections, and support goals to help people live fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities include personal care, health and wellness support, mobility assistance, behavioral and emotional support, and coordinating with healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency diploma is required.
• A valid New York State Driver’s License with 1 year of driving experience is required, and comfortable operating a large vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals you support.
• Assist with daily living activities and help build community connections.
• Administer medications and support attendance at medical appointments.
• Assist with walking, transfers, and mobility as needed.
• Implement supportive strategies for behavioral and emotional needs.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Maintain accurate records and document daily notes and reports.
