Job summary

WellLife Network is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist New Yorkers with developmental disabilities and other support needs in their homes and communities.

You will provide hands-on care, encourage independence, and advocate for clients’ rights and access to services. The role emphasizes safety, respect, and collaboration with healthcare teams in a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Fluent in English for client communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Administer medications as directed and accompany to medical appointments.
• Support mobility and safe navigation using mobility aids.
• Implement behavioral support strategies in a respectful manner.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities with individuals.
• Assist with communication tools and advocate for needs and access to services.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in electronic systems.
