Job summary

WellLife Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Flushing, NY to provide hands-on care and advocacy for individuals with developmental and other support needs. You will assist with daily living activities, accompany clients to appointments, and help them engage in community programs.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, fluent English, and a NY driver’s license with driving experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
• Fluent English for client communication.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License with at least 2 years of driving experience (required for driving positions).

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals you support.
• Assist with daily living activities and building community connections.
• Maintain accurate records including daily notes and progress reports in electronic systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, therapists, and other team members for holistic care.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities to foster belonging.
