Job summary

WellLife Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help New Yorkers with developmental disabilities thrive in their homes and communities. You will provide hands-on care, advocacy, and support to promote independence and meaningful daily living.

Responsibilities include personal care, health and wellness support, mobility assistance, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. We value patience, compassion, and a commitment to empowering others in a supportive nonprofit

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Fluent in English for client communication.
• Valid NYS Driver's License with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Comfort operating a large vehicle.
• Experience with adults with IDD or behavioral health needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals.
• Assist with daily living activities and build community connections.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Assist communication tools or techniques and advocate for needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and maintain timely records.
