Newton Software in Minnesota seeks Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide 1:1 support in structured home environments, following detailed service plans with active engagement and hands-on care.

You will assist with ADLs, support routine and independence goals, monitor health and behavioral changes, and document SOAP notes while adhering to incident and emergency procedures. Overnight shifts may be included for certain placements and require awake monitoring.

Qualifikationen

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to provide hands-on care.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow structured service plans.
• Professional boundaries and reliability required
• Must pass DHS NetStudy 2.0 background check

Aufgaben

• Provide hands-on assistance with ADLs (dressing, hygiene, toileting, mobility, meals)
• Support structured daily routines and independence goals
• Monitor health, seizure activity, and behavioral changes (as assigned)
• Implement positive support and de-escalation strategies
• Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks
• Support community participation and transportation needs
• Complete accurate and timely SOAP documentation
• Follow incident reporting and emergency protocols
• Overnight shifts may be required for certain placements; awake monitoring as needed
