Job summary

All About Caring Home Care LLC in Minnesota is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide 1:1 support in structured home environments. DSPs assist with ADLs while following detailed care plans to promote independence and safety.

DSPs monitor health and behavior, implement positive support, and support community participation. Evening, weekend, and awake overnight shifts may be required; a DHS background check and valid driver’s license are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to provide hands-on care.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow structured service plans.
• Professional boundaries and reliability required.
• Must pass DHS NetStudy 2.0 background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with ADLs (dressing, hygiene, toileting, mobility, meals).
• Support structured daily routines and independence goals.
• Monitor health, seizure activity, and behavioral changes (as assigned).
• Implement positive support and de-escalation strategies.
• Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks.
• Support community participation and transportation needs.
• Complete accurate and timely SOAP documentation.
• Follow incident reporting and emergency protocols.
