Newton Software in Minnesota is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide 1:1 support to individuals in structured home environments. DSPs assist with ADLs, support daily routines, monitor health, and follow tailored service plans to promote independence.

This role requires engaging, attentive staff who can handle evenings, weekends, and awake overnight shifts. Candidates must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, strong communication and documentation

Competenze

Must be 18 years or older.
Valid driver’s license.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Ability to provide hands-on care.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to follow structured service plans.
Professional boundaries and reliability required.
Must pass DHS NetStudy 2.0 background check.

Mansioni

Provide hands-on assistance with ADLs (dressing, hygiene, toileting, mobility, meals).
Support structured daily routines and independence goals.
Monitor health, seizure activity, and behavioral changes (as assigned).
Implement positive support and de-escalation strategies.
Assist with meal preparation and light household tasks.
Support community participation and transportation needs.
Complete accurate and timely SOAP documentation.
Follow incident reporting and emergency protocols.
