Job summary

ComServ is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities achieve personal goals and engage with their communities. You will provide care, supervision, and adaptive skills training in day programs, group homes, or community settings.

The role emphasizes safety, health, and advocacy while following individualized plans, reporting concerns, and collaborating with a team. A HS diploma is required, and NC driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to read, write, follow instructions and do basic math.
• Preferred NC driver's license with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to interact and participate in their communities.
• Provide adaptive skills training including personal care and daily living tasks.
• Support meals, housekeeping, laundry, and personal hygiene activities.
• Assist with transportation in company or personal vehicle as needed.
• Document and, if required, administer medications per plan.
• Attend trainings, follow PCP details, and advocate for individuals' rights.
