Zusammenfassung

ComServ is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities live fuller, more independent lives. You will support personal care, daily living tasks, transportation, and community participation in day programs, group homes, or community settings.

You will learn each Person Centered Plan (PCP) for individual goals, document activities, and participate in mandatory trainings. A compassionate, patient approach is essential to success in this role.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid NC driver’s license preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
• Able to read, write, follow instructions, and perform basic math.
• Willing to support cultural competency and community values.

Aufgaben

• Assist individuals to participate in their communities and reach personal goals.
• Develop and apply knowledge of each Person Centered Plan (PCP) to support goals.
• Provide adaptive skills training including personal care, daily living, social skills, budgeting, and community supports.
• Assist with transportation, meals, housekeeping, laundry, bathing or toileting as needed.
• Document and administer medications as required and participate in training and staff meetings.
• Advocate for the rights of individuals and report concerns to supervisors promptly.
