Job summary

ComServ is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities live fuller lives in Morganton, NC. You will assist with daily activities, promote community involvement, and support personal goals across day programs, group homes, or community settings.

We offer flexible schedules, a sign-on bonus for qualified full-time roles, longevity bonuses, and benefits after 90 days, including PTO, medical and dental plans, retirement with company matching,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
• Driver's license preferred by NC (NC ID acceptable).
• Ability to read, write, follow instructions and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to interact and participate in their community.
• Develop knowledge of the Person Centered Plan (PCP) for each person served.
• Provide adaptive skills training and daily living support as needed.
• Assist with activities such as meal prep, housekeeping, laundry, bathing and toileting.
• May provide transportation in a company or personal vehicle.
• Document and/or administer medications as required.
• Participate in required trainings and staff meetings.
• Advocate for the rights of individuals in care and report concerns promptly.
