Job summary

Help at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and communities. You will help clients live safely, independently, and with dignity while building meaningful relationships.

The role offers pay between $18 and $20 per hour, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires, paid out after milestones. Flexible scheduling, paid training, health benefits, and travel reimbursement are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a state-approved training program required.
• Ability to pass required competency test.
• Background checks and in-service training required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow each Individual Support Plan.
• Report updates to the IDD Program Specialist.
• Assist with daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, grooming).
• Encourage participation in shopping, events, appointments, and community activities.
• Document services and progress accurately.
• Communicate with team for consistent, high-quality support.
