Job summary

Help At Home, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved training program.
• Ability to successfully complete required background checks and in-service training.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation with proof of insurance, vehicle registration, and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Reading, understanding, and following each individual’s Individual Support Plan.
• Reporting updates, progress, and concerns to the IDD Program Specialist.
• Assisting with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and transportation.
• Encouraging participation in shopping, social events, appointments, and other community activities.
• Supporting individuals as they work toward personal goals and greater independence.
• Promoting personal choice, self-advocacy, dignity, and respect.
• Accurately documenting services, activities, and progress.
• Communicating with team members to provide consistent, high-quality support.
