Job summary

Help at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support in homes and communities, helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live safely and independently. You’ll gain meaningful work, flexible schedules, and career growth.

Starting pay ranges from $18 to $20 per hour with a $1,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. Health benefits and paid time off are included, along with mileage reimbursement for eligible travel.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old and meet at least one of the following requirements: high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a state-approved training program, or demonstrated competency with a passing score on the required written competency test.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow each individual’s Individual Support Plan.
• Report updates, progress, and concerns to the IDD Program Specialist.
• Assist with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in shopping, social events, appointments, and other community activities.
• Support individuals toward personal goals and greater independence.
• Promote personal choice, self-advocacy, dignity, and respect.
• Accurately document services, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to provide high-quality support.
