Job summary

Help at Home is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

You will help clients live safely, independently, and with dignity, assisting with daily living activities, transportation, and community participation.

This full-time role offers competitive pay ($18-$20/hr), a $1,000 sign-on bonus, flexible schedules, training, benefits, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a state-approved training program is required.
• Passing score on the required written competency test is required.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow each individual's Individual Support Plan.
• Report updates, progress, and concerns to the IDD Program Specialist.
• Assist with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in shopping, social events, appointments, and other community activities.
• Support individuals as they work toward personal goals and greater independence.
• Promote personal choice, self-advocacy, dignity, and respect.
• Accurately documenting services, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to provide consistent, high-quality support.
