Job summary

Help at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. The role offers flexible schedules, competitive hourly pay, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

You will provide one-on-one support, help with daily living skills, and encourage participation in social activities, while documenting care and coordinating with the team. A valid driver’s license and a heart for helping others are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or state-approved training or a passing competency test.
• Successful background check and required in-service trainings.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance, inspection and registration.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients' homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings.
• Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in social activities and community events.
• Document care, activities, and progress accurately.
