Job summary

Help at Home is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities. You will help clients build daily living skills and participate in community activities, working toward personal goals with dignity and respect.

The role emphasizes compassionate, reliable care, adherence to individual plans, and careful documentation of services.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old and meet at least one of the listed requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and follow each individual’s Support Plan.
• Report updates and concerns to the IDD Program Specialist.
• Assist with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, grooming, and transportation.
• Encourage participation in shopping, events, appointments, and community activities.
• Support individuals toward personal goals and greater independence.
• Promote personal choice, self-advocacy, dignity, and respect.
