Job summary

WellLife Network is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help New Yorkers with developmental disabilities live independently at home and in the community.

You will provide hands-on care, support daily living activities, and advocate for individuals’ rights and access to services. A high school diploma and fluent English are required, with a NY driver’s license preferred for driving duties. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency (required).
• Fluent English for client communication (required).
• New York State Driver’s License with at least 2 years of driving experience (required for driving positions).
• Comfort operating a large vehicle (for driving positions).
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals supported.
• Assist with daily living activities and build community connections.
• Administer medications as directed and support medical appointments.
• Assist with mobility and accessibility, ensuring safe navigation.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in electronic systems.
