Job summary

WellLife Network in New York is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on care, advocacy, and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. You will help with daily living activities, health needs, transportation, and community engagement, documenting progress in electronic records.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, fluent English, and a NYS driver's license with driving experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Fluent English for client communication.
• NY State Driver’s License with 1 year driving experience required; comfortable operating a large vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Administer medications as directed.
• Support mobility and accessibility, including transfers and use of mobility aids.
• Provide behavioral and emotional support with respectful approaches.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Assist with communication tools and advocate for needs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in electronic systems.
