WellLife Network in New York seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide hands-on care and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities. You’ll support daily living, promote independence, and help people thrive in home and community settings.

Responsibilities span personal care, health and wellness, mobility, behavior support, community engagement, communication and documentation. A High School diploma, English fluency, and a NYS driver's license are required; driving positions may

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency diploma required.
• Fluent English for client communication.
• A NYS Driver's License with at least 2 years driving experience is required for driving positions.
• Comfort operating a large vehicle.
• Experience with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care & Daily Living Support: assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mealtimes, and home safety.
• Health & Wellness: administer medications and support medical appointments.
• Mobility & Accessibility: assist with walking, transfers, and mobility aids.
• Behavioral & Emotional Support: implement respectful strategies and promote independence.
• Community & Social Engagement: plan and participate in activities and encourage community involvement.
• Communication & Advocacy: help individuals express themselves and advocate for needs.
• Collaboration & Documentation: coordinate with healthcare providers and maintain daily notes and reports in electronic systems.
