Job summary

00 RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Mentor (Wavier Type: Regular) to provide mentorship and coaching to Direct Support staff and to support people with IDD and mental health needs in residential and day settings in Lincolnton, NC area. The role includes ensuring staffing coverage, training new employees, and implementing person-centered services in alignment with each individual’s plan.

A high school diploma or GED and CPR/First Aid are required, with potential sleep-over

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with IDD population.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance coverage.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Sleep-over residency may be required at some residences.
• Must pass background checks and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist people supported to identify personal outcomes and preferences.
• Support the Interdisciplinary Team to identify needed supports.
• Promote dignity, goals, and quality of life for people served.
• Provide opportunities for choice and independence.
• Report incidents of abuse, neglect, or exploitation immediately.
• Ensure group home cleanliness and vehicle upkeep.
• Assist with eating, dressing, grooming, and daily activities.
• Support in community integration and social activities.
• Train people supported in self-medication per policy.
