Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Mentor for Waiver Type Regular to support individuals with IDD in residential and day settings. The role mentors Direct Support Employees, ensures thorough training, and coordinates staffing per the Residential Team Leader’s schedule.

A high school diploma or GED and CPR/First Aid are required, with driving and background checks expected. The position emphasizes enhancing personal outcomes, dignity, and quality of life, including helping

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• Prefer experience working with IDD individuals.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (this is a condition of employment).
• Must maintain CPR and First Aid certification, Med Tech and NCI certifications and other core competency training as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist people supported to identify personal outcomes and supports.
• Promote dignity, respect and quality of life for individuals served.
• Provide opportunities for choice and self direction.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of group homes and vehicles.
• Support daily living activities and community integration.
• Train people supported in self-medication administration per policy.
