Job summary

Step By Step, Inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional Lead to mentor the team, supervise daily operations, and coordinate finances while delivering person-centered services to adults with disabilities. You will oversee multiple locations and model professionalism and empathy within a supportive, mission-driven nonprofit.

The role emphasizes leadership, weekend/holiday availability, and strong communication with participants, staff, and families.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license with no suspensions or points within the past three years.
High school diploma or GED, plus at least 6 months of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the delivery of quality, person-centered services.
Maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant residential environment.
Overseeing the daily care, activities, and needs of program participants.
Supervising household operations, including facility upkeep, supplies, meal planning, medication administration, documentation, expenses, and daily records.
