• Two to four years in commercial kitchen operations, line cooking, or related training.

Responsibilities

• Plans, manages, and coordinates activities of the dining services department at one or more locations.
• Develops standards for organization and supervision of dining services.
• Maintains quality dining services within budget.
• Plans menus and controls food costs; may prepare meals.
• Oversees food preparation to meet procedures and safety standards.
• Maintains inventory and trains staff in department responsibilities.
• Directs cost control and budgeting for the department.
• Provides nutrition education and counseling for residents.
