Job summary

Morrison Living is seeking a Director of Dining Services to lead the community's food and beverage operations, ensuring resident and client satisfaction with a high-quality product and hospitality while meeting financial goals.

You will oversee development and execution of departmental strategies and serve as the face of the company, driving a positive work environment and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience desirable
• Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, client, customer, and associate levels
• Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills
• Proficient computer skills to include MS Office, e‑mail, and the Internet

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement overall operating strategy for food & beverage aligned with client business strategy.
• Own driving outcomes with an entrepreneurial approach and lead on-site leadership accountability.
• Evaluate personnel, operations, and culinary situations and make recommendations.
• Maintain professional demeanor and adapt to stressful periods with problem-solving.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and company standards through daily walk-throughs.
• Direct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs.
• Lead pre-meal briefings and staff meetings for clear communication.
• Keep executives and staff updated on relevant information by phone, written form, email, or in person.
