Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. The role focuses on high-quality food service, inventory control, food safety, and excellent customer experiences.

You will supervise staff, maintain records, ensure regulatory compliance, and support ongoing training initiatives to uphold HCSG standards across operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality.
• CDM certification preferred or as required by state/county law.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within 14 days of employment.
• Must obtain FSM and LTC-FSM within 60 days of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the food service program at a single site ensuring quality and safety.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; fill in as dietary aide, cook, or dishwasher as needed.
• Communicate directives from clients, building occupants and administrators to staff.
• Ensure infection control, universal precautions, and proper handwashing procedures are followed.
• Represent HCSG positively in interactions with supervisors, client staff, residents and guests.
