Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. seeks a Food Service Director to lead the dining program at a long-term care facility in Avon, CT. You will drive food quality, safety, and resident satisfaction while managing budgets and operations.

You will supervise the food service team, maintain records, train staff, and ensure compliance with federal/state/local regulations and HCSG policies. Benefits and opportunities for development accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality; coursework in food service/restaurant management preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
• CDM certification preferred (or required by state/county law); FPM, FSM and LTC-FSM within first 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the food service program at a single site, ensuring high quality, inventory control and safety.
• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; cover roles as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers and administrators to staff; ensure compliance.
