Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining services at a long-term care facility in Avon, Connecticut. You will oversee the food service team, ensure quality and safety, and manage records, inventory, and staff training.

Qualifications

• Associate or higher in food service management or hospitality (preferred).
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and supervision (preferred).
• CDM certification preferred or as required by state law.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager within 14 days of employment; FSM and LTC-FSM within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment; use HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; fill in as dietary aide, cook, or dishwasher as needed.
• Communicate directives from clients, building occupants, and administrators to staff.
• Ensure safety and sanitation; report equipment needs or malfunctions promptly.
• Follow infection control, universal precautions, and handwashing procedures.
