Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a dining services professional to manage dining room operations and supervise staff in a resident-focused environment. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality dining experiences, training staff, and coordinating with the kitchen and leadership to maintain smooth service.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree or equivalent, 2–3 years of related experience, and a current ServSafe Certification.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current ServSafe Certification required. Obtain and hold any local, state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates.
• Applies guidelines and makes decisions within a department with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing quality dining experiences by overseeing dining room staff and maintaining a pleasant and clean dining environment.
• Manages daily operations of dining room, room service, and convenience store, if applicable.
• Assigns wait staff to sections and supervises side work; inspects completion.
• Ensures timely delivery of room service orders and smooth opening/closing of dining room.
• Hires, trains, disciplines and terminates staff in accordance with company policies.
• Maintains resident request logbook and coordinates with Chef and Dining Services Director.

Education
