Overview

Digital Training Facility Manager [DTFM] - Fort Dix, NJ (CONUS) - Digital Training Facility Management (DTFM) (DTFM028). Full-time position for a DoD/Military sector engagement to support training and readiness of active and reserve military personnel through planning, facilitating, managing, recording and assessing training under The Training Management Directorate (TMD).

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage the use of Digital Training Facilities (DTFs) and provide hands-on assistance to EMS staff for their location.
• Operate required hands-on equipment and record on-site operations for the project.
• Oversee the assigned DTF, follow EMS directions to replace monitors, desktops, and servers, and verify hardware and software operation.
• Maintain facility security and assist students in using DTF assets.
• Monitor and report the condition and inventory of IT hardware, furniture, and other assets at site locations.
• Collaborate with appropriate entities to create secure lab environments and provide hands-on equipment operation and on-site support.
• Provide metrics and reports to designated Management, Section Leadership, and Stakeholder Staff.
• Provide server and application support and maintain relationships with customers on behalf of the DTF.
• Report the operational status of the DTFs to the chain of command and the Distributed Learning Point of Contact (DL-POC).
• Schedule the use of DTFs and provide hands-on assistance to the Army Training Information System (ATIS) Product Manager and EMS staff; coordinate training scheduling with Soldiers and the DL-POC.
• Support oversight of DTFs, including replacement of hardware per EMS directions as needed.

Experience

• 5 years of management experience within IT support and/or IT management (Required).
• Ability to analyze and evaluate trainees to forecast requirements, screen information, determine eligibility, and provide solutions to challenges.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for coordinating and scheduling training and preparing clear reports and presentations.

Education and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in computer science, information systems, information technology, computer engineering, or related).
• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; e-Verify participation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiar with Adobe.
• Eligible for a Facility Access Authorization (employment eligibility) by the USG Security Office.
• May be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement and varying background investigations up to Top Secret or Q clearance.

Skills and Abilities

• Familiarity with emerging technologies and strong computer hardware/software skills (including Microsoft server, Windows desktop management, and printing management).
• Project/process management with ability to define and monitor projects, report progress, and achieve goals.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; strong oral and written communication, including technical writing.
• Ability to interview patrons and interpret information needs.
