Job summary

Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Field Service Engineer to deliver remote and on-site support for Digital Pathology equipment across the Northeast US. The role requires 90% travel, valid license, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Bachelors or Associate degree with 3+ years in related tech roles preferred. Remote work options exist within the Northeast region; the position includes a benefits package and potential bonus, with a focus on diagnostic instrumentation and service

Qualifications

• Associate's degree plus 3+ years diagnosing and repairing mechanical/electromechanical equipment or instrumentation.
• Bachelor's degree and IT networking preferred.
• Experience with medical devices or laboratory instruments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced remote and on-site escalation support of Digital Pathology Equipment to minimize downtime and generate revenue opportunities.
• Disseminate technical memos and bulletins; lead Service Excellence calls sharing trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with product management and other departments to monitor instrument quality and address declining trends.
